Examination
Exams for Online mode Programs are conducted Online. There are no Offline Exams.
- Following are the components of evaluation for online mode learners depending upon the nature of the course:
1. Continuous Assessment (CA)
2. End-Term Examination (ETE) (for Theory Courses)
3. End-Term Practical/Project (ETP) (For Practical/ Project/ Dissertation/ Term Paper based courses)
- What is Continuous Assessment (CA)?
- Graded Assignments: To assess the performance of OL learners continuously, assignments shall be provided to them through the Learning Management System – LPU Online LMS.
- Academic Participation and Engagement: The assessment of the Academic Participation and Engagement component would be based on participation in scheduled LIVE virtual classes/ Pre-Recorded Video lectures/ Discussion Forum/ attempting corresponding quizzes etc. To ensure the academic participation and engagement of online mode learners, the attendance requirement in these activities has been made a compulsory part of the Continuous Assessment (CA) component.
1. How much weightage do end-term exams and continuous exams carry?
End-term exam 70% weightage continuous exam carries 30% weightage
2. How will the online End Semester Examination be conducted?
You may use your smartphone or Laptop/Desktop to appear for your End Term Examination“My Class” interface is used for conducting Online examinations, which can be accessed through the Learning Management System – LPU Online LMS. End Term Examinations are conducted using proctored Examination methodology, as per UGC regulations. Students are made familiar with the system during the Induction program or before the start of the term Examination, through demo videos.”
3. Am I monitored during the Proctored examination?
Yes, you are monitored during the entire duration of the Examination. Proctored Exam Technology also records your video and photographs and Artificial Intelligence tools are used to detect any unfair means used while appearing for Examination. Proctors are appointed to monitor the activities of the students throughout the Examination.
The duration of the Examination is 2 Hours.
4. Which Type of Question is asked in End-Term Examination?
End-Term Examination Consists of Objective and Subjective Questions with No Negative Marking.
5. When are the End Term /Reappear, Examinations conducted?
The End-Term/Re-appear Examination is generally conducted in June and December. For the exact schedule, please check the announcement section of LPU Online LMS from time to time.

Your study material is available online, through your Online LMS accounts, the credentials of which are shared with you at the time of admission. You get instant access to e-learning material, Video Lectures, Presentations, etc. once you enroll for your program. It is available only in the English language, You do not need to pay any additional money to collect the Study Material.
